A Yoga class that incorporates a Vinyasa flow (a series of poses to create a flowing sequence) standing balance work, floor exercises and a relaxation segment. Improve your flexibility and balance, develop core strength and body awareness. Minimum 5 students required.

Poetry, Fiction and Song Writing with Robert P. Arthur
Monday, Sept. 13th to Nov. 15th

Cost for 10 weeks $195 (includes material)

Robert P. Arthur, an accomplished poet, novelist, short story writer, playwright, critic, director and professor. He has written and published over twenty books and plays, more than 1,500 articles on the arts and was a finalist for Poet Laureate of Virginia in 2008. Arthur is best known for his book of poems, “Hymn to the Chesapeake”. This creative writing class will teach the fundamentals of writing poetry and lyrics for the contemporary market. Students will learn the art of interpreting poems and lyrics as a means of learning how to write them. The students will read and discuss their own works while enjoying lectures on structure and technique, and studying the works of contemporary poets and recording artists.

Adult Pottery with Elizabeth Hunt
Thursdays, Sept. 16th to Oct. 21st(6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
6 Weeks Cost $150 plus $10 firing fee

Use wheel and hand sculpting techniques to create unique design pottery or sculpture. Elizabeth will work with Beginner and Intermediate students. Stock materials are supplied.
